Skin diving is snorkeling combined with breath-holding dives to observe the underwater life up close. It’s a great way to start exploring underwater if you’re not sure that Scuba is your thing, of if you have medical conditions that prevent you from diving deeper. This course will prepare you to dive in fresh or salt water all over the world.
You will learn how to operate skin diving equipment such as a mask, snorkel, fins, snorkel vest and wet suits or dive weights as needed. You’ll also learn skin diving techniques such as checking buoyancy, surface swimming, and clearing water from your snorkel. There will be instruction on basic safety guidelines before you go on a skin dive at a local dive site.
