This course is the next step after the Advanced Open Water certification on the way to becoming a dive professional. In this course you will learn to recognize and rescue divers in distress, manage accidents in diving and provide first aid. The course has 5 water sessions where topics such as self-rescue, missing diver procedures and emergency management are covered. You will also learn about recognizing and responding to diver stress and panicked divers. Other topics include the psychology of rescue, assisting responsive and unresponsive divers, dealing with equipment problems. You’ll also learn about oxygen delivery systems, and in-water rescue breathing.
After this course you will be confident in your ability to manage underwater problems that can occur while scuba diving.
