There are creatures under the sea that only emerge at night. These nocturnal creatures create a alluring watery landscape that is completely different than what you might see during the day. You might see lobsters, octopi squid and other crustaceans that emerge only after the sun has set.
This course will teach you how to dive at night, and emphasize the considerations you might not have to take into account diving during the daylight hours. You’ll learn to focus on what you can see in your light beam, and how to control your buoyancy based on feeling. You’ll also learn how to navigate a dark dive site, and how the behavior of animals changes in the nighttime hours.
In this course you will complete two night dives that will introduce you to a completely different side of the ocean.
The first dive of this course can count towards your PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
